Imagine that your image is divided into nine equal segments by two vertical and two horizontal lines. Try to position the most important elements in your scene along these lines, or at the points where they intersect. Doing so will add balance and interest to your photo. Objective

Imagine that your group is a web design firm. Propose a web redesign proposal to your client.

Your task is to transfer some sample contents from the current official site into your brand new design. You have to present the new design to your clients.

What to do?

Create a new blog (use only group leader blog account).
Create your own new template design using Frontpage/Dreamweaver.
Upload your new template into the blog. OR
Keep using Blogger template. BUT change the background and header graphics.
Transfer the content from the official site into you new site.
Use "New Page" as sections/main menus.
Use "New Post" only for the home page content.

How to Change Blogger/Blogspot Templates

If you are a blogger and have your blog hosted by Blogger, then you may not be so happy with the free blog templates, provided by Blogger. So if you want to change the template of your blog, and give it a professional look, then you must first change the template.

To do this, first have a look here: Free Blogger Templates

Now after selecting and downloading the template, you have to upload this template to your present blog.

So follow these steps:
1. Log in to Blogger (You are at dashboard)
2. Click on the Layout link, for the appropriate blog.
3. Now you will see a page similar to this:

4. Click on the "Edit" links on the widgets, and back up their content in text/note pads in your computer (Because when you change the template, you will lose all the widgets content)
5. Now click on the "Edit HTML" link (top menu).
6. Now in this new page, click on "Download Template" (This is done to back up the template, in case you want to revert back to your present template)

7. Now upload the new template, in case a message is displayed to remove any widget then click Remove and Save, as you have already saved the content in step 4.

Adding page Elements to Blogger Blogs

When you create a Blogger Blog the template comes with a pre-defined number of page elements. If you would like to increase the number the following step by step tutorial will show you how. This lesson will deal with adding more Page Elements to the Header section of your Blogger Template.

Update Oct 2008 - Since this post was written Blogger has changed the name "Element" to "Widget". Don't be confused as "widget" is the same thing as "element".

Always download a backup before making changes.

The screenshot below shows a standard Blogger Minima Template.

Click all images to enlarge.

As you can see there is only one element available for the Header section on top.

This is how you can add more.

Under "layout" click "Edit HTML".

Click the "Expand Widget Template" Box.

Scroll down until you come to the section that looks like this;

As you can see the "maxwidget" is set to 1 - this means that there is only one widget (element) available for use in the Header. You can change this to whatever amount you like. I am going to change it to 3.

After making the change be sure to change the "showaddelement" to "yes" so that you will see the option to add another element on the "layout" page.

Click "Save Template" and you are done.

Your "Layout" - "Page Elements" page should now look like this.

And that is how you can add or modify the page elements in Blogger. I will show you how to do this with the other sections in future posts but you may want to try it on your own. The process is the same for all the sections - Main Wrapper, Sidebar Wrapper and Footer.

6. Lepas 2 korang mesti ada account dalam photo streaming web site contohnya, macam yang saya guna ialah PHOTOBUCKET.

7. Upload kan background anda dalam PHOTOBUCKET, dan ikut langkah dalam gambar di bawah:

8. Bila dah berjaya upload anda kena copy 'direct link' macam di bawah ni.

9. Login dalam blog anda, pergi customize, layout‚pick a new template‚ pastu choose a minima template. (mesti guna minima template dulu baru boleh tukar ke background sendiri)
10. Lepas 2 pergi ke edit HTML. korang akan jumpa satu code macam ni...

Step 1: Enter search query.

Step 2: Click at the paper title (red).

Step 3: Click at ACM ref link. A new popup window will appear.

Step 4: Copy the citation (excluding DOI.... ). Paste it to your Google docs.

Sample in text:

According to He et. al. (2008), bla...bla... bla...

E.g.:

For...

- single author: He (2008), bla...bla... bla...

- two authors: He and Macdonald (2008), bla...bla... bla...
